Margot was predeceased by her husband, Arthur “Barry” Bennet and brother Lawson Whiting. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Bennet, granddaughter Julia Bennet (Liz Kaiser), bonus granddaughter Kami Buck, sister Susan Boardman (Howard), brother Jay Dee Whiting (Laurie), sister Tina Lehman (Charles), nieces and nephews, sister of her heart Elaine Collins, bonus daughters Susan Bane (Todd), Laura Buck (Brian), and loving fiancée James Harrison.
Margot worked for Lake County Schools at Minneola Elementary Charter School. She adored the children, she was lovingly known as "Nana". Margot also worked for Eastman Kodak while living in Rochester, New York. She loved going antique shopping and was famous for her garage sale finds. Margot was a beloved mother, sister, and friend, and will truly be missed.
