She was born in Fort Payne Alabama on April 18th 1942. Her family later moved to Orlando where she graduated from Edgewater High School in 1959. She also graduated from the University of Central Florida, in 1987, with a degree in Media Sciences. She was married to Harry Bryant Callaway on February 18, 1961.
Marilyn worked in the Orange County Public School System for over 30 years. She began her career at Sadler Elementary School eventually moving to Blankner Elementary as school secretary, and finally at Frangus Elementary as the Librarian/Media Specialist.
Marilyn had a passion for reading, traveling with friends, lounging on the beach and spending time with family/grandchildren.
She was preceded in death (1999) by her husband Harry. She is survived by her children, Cindy McNeil (Dave), Scott Callaway (Christine), her grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda, Jake, Madison and Matthew, her sister Carolyn and brother Hollis.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, US, on October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
