

Marlene was born on September 1, 1948, in Olean, New York. She graduated from Maynard Evans High School in 1966 and later attended St. Petersburg Junior College.
On October 4, 1969, she married the love of her life, John David Moore. As a devoted Marine wife, she proudly stood beside John for 56 years, embracing the adventures, challenges, and joys of military life while creating a loving home for her family.
Throughout her career, Marlene worked for Martin Marietta, as a telephone operator for BellSouth, as a dental assistant, and later as a scheduler for Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic. She was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and dedication to those she served.
During her years as a military spouse, Marlene lived in many places and made lasting friendships wherever she went, including Jacksonville, North Carolina; Phenix City, Alabama; and Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, before eventually settling back to Orlando, Florida.
She was the loving mother of Chris Moore and his wife, Rachel , and the late Matt Moore. Her beloved grandson, Lance, was the apple of her eye and brought her immeasurable pride and joy. She also adored her golden retrievers, Brandy and Lilly, whose companionship filled her life with happiness and comfort.
Marlene will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her loyal friendships, her strength, and her generous heart. Her love and influence will remain with all who knew her.
