I have known Rachel, her father and Mary since we were little girls in girl scouts and marching band in high school. They were wonderful parents and wonderful people. It was always a pleasure seeing them together. I give my prayers and thoughts towards Rachel and her father and hope that Mary is resting in peace in heaven, watching over her family.

Michael and Rachel - I am glad we all could be there for much of the week to support you. Now that you are back to work and school know that we are still praying for you - that the loneliness will not be overwhelming and the memories will be sweet comfort.  We love you so much. Michael and Rachel,  I was so very very sorry to hear of your loss. Mary was a wonderful friend at Georgetown and then roommate during those first few years after college...we shared so many laughs and tears together,  she was a very, very special person.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both and Lucy and her family..

Ray and I send our sympathy to you.  When I think of Mary, I think of the lovely lunch we had last year at the Tea Room.  Mary (Adsitt) told me later that it was Mary Butler's idea to include Ray and me that day.  That was so nice of her.  Any other time we would be at her service.  However, our flight back home leaves at 7:00 Thursday morning which is early for "old folks".  You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Michael and Rachel, I am so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  The world lost a kind and gentle soul, and she will be missed.  I remember scrapbooking with her and subbing with her bunco group.

Mary was a special, one-of-a-kind friend and a devoted mother and wife. My life will not be the same without her friendship. My prayers and love go out to Michael and Rachel during this difficult time.
