Mary "Bettye" Marchand

Mary E. (Bettye) Marchand, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on October 9, 1923, in Orlando, Florida, to Charles W. and Ruth Kenney Morey. She married Virgil E. Marchand on April 18, 1947, and was married to him for 58 years before his passing in 2005. She was a bookkeeper for Harry P. Leu . Bettye was a member of Azalea Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, John David Marchand; and granddaughter, Linda Dawn Marchand. She is survived by her sons; Virgil E. (and his wife, Judy) Marchand, and Paul Marchand; three grandchildren; Michael (and his wife Patty) Marchand, Chris Marchand, and William (and his wife, Erin) Marchand; four great-grandchildren; Jennifer, James, Isis and Julianne; and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012, from 1 – 2 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl. 34734 / 407-293-1361, followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm, at the funeral home, and a Committal Service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
