Mary C. Pace

Mary Lucille Pace was called back to our savior on June 27, 2015. Born on May 4, 1939 in Tifton, Ga. she led a life filled with much happiness and joy. After graduating from high school in Tifton,Ga. she went on to college at Valdosta State University where she earned her bachelors degree in microbiology. She then started her professional life in Atlanta, Ga. where she worked for the state as part of their TB program. While living and working in Atlanta she met the man who would be the love of her life. She married Richard Pace on April 28, 1962. They had 2 children and then moved to Orlando, Fl. because of a job transfer. Mary again went to work for the state in the department of laboratory services. She later transferred to DEP to work in the drinking water division. It was from DEP that she retired. After her retirement, she finally had time to do what she had wanted to do for years and that was to travel with Richard. They spent time with their children and grandchildren in Georgia and in Oregon and they traveled with her brothers and cousins across the country on more than one occasion. Even her cancer diagnosis didn't keep her from going and doing what she wanted to do.
