MAVIS ELDRIDGE HARRIS, 86, of Old Town, Florida passed away on September 6, 2010 at the Haven Hospice Chiefland Care Center. Mrs. Harris was born in Wicksburg, Alabama on June 18, 1924 to the late William Burce and Mary Elizabeth Dykes Hawthorne. Mavis is survived by her children, Buddy A., Lonnie R., Bennie E. Eldridge and Frances E. Spivey; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at the funeral home, followed by the interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
