Monai Alexis Willett

Monai Alexis Willett, age 38, passed away on August 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Despite her diagnosis, Monai faced every day with strength, grace, and a deep love for life.

Born on January 2, 1987, Monai entered the world with a head full of hair and a heart full of spirit. From an early age, she captivated everyone with her gift of words and her vibrant personality—always quick to make friends and keep those around her on their toes.

Monai’s greatest pride and joy were her three beautiful children: Aishwarya (Cookie), Aiden, and Axl. Her legacy lives on in them—each a reflection of her love, laughter, and determination.

She is survived by her mother, Rosien Dixon; father, Clint Willett; stepfather, Mike Dixon; stepmother, Lorette Willett; sister, Amaya Dixon; grandmother, Geraldine Young; auntie Charmaine Woolcock and her beloved auntie, Julet Woolcock. Monai also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, work ethic, and creative talents—from her singing and painting to the thoughtful advice she was always ready to give.

A celebration of Monai’s life will be held on August 23, 2025, at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and remember a life lived with love, courage, and beauty.
