September 28, 1954 – April 13, 2021
Neal Keith Hiatt, 66, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on April 13, 2021.
He was born September 28, 1954 in Orlando, Florida to Paul and Verna (Young) Hiatt.
He grew up in Orlando and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1972. He married the love of his life Theresa (Starr) Hiatt December 6, 1975.
Neal, always displaying a strong entrepreneurial mindset, successfully managed and operated several businesses until his retirement. These companies included the family business Hiatt Seed Harvesting, that harvested grass seed all over the state of Florida; Inland Shield Enterprises, Inc, Fantastic Sams; Landstreet Road Properties and Landstreet Road Motors.
Neal was a devoted member of the Kingdom Building Ministry and was a passionate follower of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He was always willing to take the time to talk to anyone about the Messiah’s saving grace. Neal constantly proved his life-long faith and love for God by donating his labor and finances to help build many Christian Schools and Churches. He also had the true heart of a servant by showing a never-ending generosity for anyone in need.
The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in Neal’s heart was most evident in the love and loyalty he showed to his family. He was a loving and faithful husband to his beautiful wife, Theresa, during forty-five years of wonderful marriage. His fatherly love and provision were selflessly given to his four children, Jason, Brian, Lindsey and Tyler. The generosity and wisdom of a grandfather, along with his never-ending love was constantly shown to his many grandchildren.
Neal was the kind of man who found the joy and happiness that each day had to offer. Every person always knew they mattered to Neal by the warm smile and friendly greeting he gave to each one. It was the simple pleasures of life that he enjoyed the most. A shared meal and laughter with family and friends is what made Neal happy. Any possible concerns Neal had about leaving this world would not have been for himself. It would have been for the loved ones he left behind, his wife, his children, and grandchildren. Knowing he would not be there to share his great love for them and continue to be a joyous part of their life. Neal has made his final journey to his true home to be with the loved ones who have gone before. He is resting in the comforting arms of the Heavenly Father with the assurance that he will see us again in the glorious kingdom which is to come.
Neal is survived by his wife Theresa, his brother, Michael (Jane) Hiatt and sisters, Carol Hiatt and Peggy (Chris) Shepler. Neal has 4 children, Jason (Amber) Hiatt, Brian (Dana) Hiatt, Lindsey (Jason) Davis, Tyler (Michelle) Hiatt. Neal has 23 grandchildren, Natalie, Alaina, Reagan, Remi, Levi, Brock, Marissa, Cassia, Ben, Brady, Deacon, Jacobi, Brianna, Hannah, Caris, Ellianna, Makayla, Anselee, Avianna, Declan, Jase, Jake and Abigail, and many other family and friends.
A celebration of Life will be held on May 15, 2021 at 10:30 am at Lock Haven Baptist Church, 14246 Boggy Creek Road, Orlando, FL 32824. We would also love the opportunity to fellowship with you after the service by sharing a meal together.
