Nellie Marie Wright

Nellie was born November 30, 1932 in Baltimore, MD. She was the youngest daughter of the late Frank Solomon and Margaret Solomon (Robertson). Her childhood was filled with fond memories growing up in Wilkinson, IN. In 1949, her family relocated to Oldsmar, FL just outside of Tampa. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1950. Nellie married David, the love of her life, on December 25, 1952.

Nellie's life was dedicated to her family and friends. They were her source of joy, laughter, and strength. She was loving, selfless, and fiercely protective of those close to her. Her home was always filled with laughter, hugs, and always "I love you more."

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, David Edward Wright. Their love was selfless and undying. David still took his "bride" on weekly lunch dates. Their love was apparent to all who knew them. Nellie is also survived by her children: Denise Ridener of Orlando; Jim (Dawn) Wright of Orlando; Wayne (Dana) Wright of Summerville, SC; and Steve (Susanne) Wright of Orlando. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren (Karen Ridener, Jonathan Wright, Christian Wright, Anton Wright, and Serina Wright), 2 great-grandchildren (Natalie Ridener and Braylen Wright), as well as several step-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters (Madalene Young of Markleville, IN; Susie Adams of Tampa, FL) and 1 brother (David Solomon of Indianapolis, IN).

She was preceded in death by her parents (Frank and Margaret of Oldsmar, FL), brothers (Wayne Solomon of Lapel, IN; Marvin Solomon of Wilkinson, IN), brothers-in-law (Ralph Young of Markleville, IN; Clyde Adams of Tampa, FL; Hubert Wright of Plant City, FL), and sisters-in-law (Lillian Solomon of Wilkinson, IN; Ann Solomon of Indianapolis, IN).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, FL. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00pm.
