Nicholas Pasternak, age 87, pasted away in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He is survived by his son, Art Simms and wife Emira of Winter Haven, FL; daughter, Cindy Elkins of Trussville, AL; and stepdaughter, Kay Rath of Apopka, FL; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Nick was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Lockheed Martin where he worked as an Refrigeration and AC Mechanic for 25 years. He was a member of the Citrus Masonic Lodge #118, the Inverness Elks Lodge #2522 and the Inverness Moose Lodge #2112. He enjoyed cooking, dancing and making people smile. We remember him for who he was...a true gentleman. Funeral Services will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
