

Norman Goldner, 94, of Orlando, Florida peacefully passed away on September 6, 2013. He was born on February 13, 1919 in Bronx, New York to the late Harry and Sadie Goldner. Mr. Goldner was a WWII Army veteran and a very active member of the Central Florida Community. As an avid world traveler, he managed to pursue his love and occupation as a photographer, starting with 1947 techniques up through conquering modern digital technology.
He served the Orlando area by volunteering more than 3000 hours at Dr. Phillips Hospital and spearheading the collection of over 4000 cellphones for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to aid vulnerable citizens.
He was an extremely active member of the Corvette Club of Orlando up until his passing, and was believed to be the most mature (oldest) Corvette driver in the world. Affectionately known as "Slick 99", he took great pride in being able to keep up with the Club’s adventures and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of their social fellowship.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter Haron and son-in-law, Mark, Housman, and two grandchildren Sarah Housman and David Housman.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Library of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Woodlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a gift be made to the to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF, 1850 Lee Road, Suite 111, Winter Park, FL 32789 - or - Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ) in memory of Norman.
