Omar Bizri was born on May 27, 1984 in Charlotte, N.C. to Adnan and Donna Bizri. He spent his early years in Charlotte with his family then they moved around the country to places such as Michigan, New York, Ocean Reef, Key Largo, Florida (one of his favorite places) Arizona, Hawaii and Orlando, FL.
Growing up, he was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. A family vacation to Lebanon in 1994 gave him the opportunity to learn about the culture and meet countless relatives. In school, one of Omar’s teachers was dedicated to animal husbandry and had a classroom dedicated to reptiles. It was during this time that Omar developed a love and knowledge of reptiles that followed him throughout his life and reptiles became his pets. Omar graduated from high school in Orlando then began his career in the field of hospitality and fine dining. His career took him to Hawaii where he worked in a tropical 5-Star resort. Omar was a thrill seeker; he enjoyed skydiving and made almost 100 jumps towards his certificate.
Omar went to Heaven on May 14, 2021. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters: Hannah, Mona, Farrah and Maya Bizri; his son, Ezra Bizri; his niece, Lexi Grady; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Joan Tarlton; his uncle Gary Tarlton and wife Kathy; his great-aunt Lanelle Richardson and husband Maurice, several relatives in Lebanon and his life-long best friend, Wes Cloutier who supported him through good and bad times. Omar was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents, Alonzo and Wanza Goforth and his great-aunt Doris. A private family service was held in his honor.
