“Our Hero”
You were there when we were born
watched us grow through eyes
loving and warm
Our bravest soldier
Our Hero
Our wonderful Father
Gave up the life you knew
to be a dad for your daughters
and followed through
Through the good and bad times
happy and often sad times
you were the one
we all looked up to
We’re collectively sure
you wanted a boy
somewhere in the mix
and along came your son in laws to help fulfill your wish
The moral of the story is…
Anyone can be a dad
but there will never be
A Spiritual Confidant…
A Friend…
A Soldier…
A Hero…
Or a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather like You.
