It's that time of the year that we celebrate our Anniversary - this would be our 42nd year! Decided that I'd celebrate by having pizza since it was at a pizza place that we first met all those years ago and on our 1st Anniversary we even talked about how we'd be on our 50th! Needless to say, things have changed - celebrating this day just isn't the same without you here by my side, but none the less, I cherish the time we did have together and the memories are always there.

Well here it is, what would have been our 41st Anniversary, a day that made me the luckiest & happiest man alive.  Through the good and bad, you were always there, loving and caring for me.

Last week was what would have been your 64th Birthday, although you would have denied it! HA-

Another year is passing as another year starts without you by my side. You missed your 63rd Birthday and our 40th Anniversary, as well as Christmas that just passed. None of these precious events are the same without you - I still can't bear the loneliness, missing your smile, laughter and caring touch! While I talk to you all the time, the non-responsive quiet is truly heart-breaking. I know that you have your Mom's company now and are helping her in her new journey!

Things have been rough for me this year health-wise - damn near died from sepsis and the new year is going to start out very difficult as I finally go through a heart catheterization procedure to finally relieve the SVT's, hopefully - truly miss you here to help me through these hospital stays, but know you are watching over me - just let go if you can and we'll be back together again...

Well, here it is 2015 - the start of another new year without you.  Spent Xmas & New Year's at Guy & Barb's, so wasn't alone this year,  still it wasn't the same without by my side although I did sit with you on Xmas day and lit your little Xmas tree, played the music box & read you your cards to help celebrate our memories of holidays past!

Also managed to send flowers & card to your Mom, hopefully she enjoyed them. Sent cards to family as well.  Albert had emailed a new "Glam" picture of your Mom, know you would have gotten a kick out of it, I did.

Don't know what the new year will have in store for me other than my one goal this year is making the trip to Arizona assuming I can muster the energy for such a long drive - otherwise, I'll just have to take everything else as it comes.  There's just no reason or joy in attempting to do things without you.

Well, here it is the 2nd Anniversary of your passing and I can't begin to say how much you are missed. You'll be glad to know that I fulfilled two of your wishes by making the trip to K.C. and Jacksonville last month. Spent some time with your Mom on her 89th Birthday and while she didn't recognize me or understand your not being there, she still has moments of awareness and a twinkle in her eye! Along with card and flowers, gave her the 2 music boxes which she seemed to enjoy. Today's picture is of your Mom, Sande & me that day. 

So altogether, saw Albert & Jennifer; Sande & Bill; Steve & Alex; Cousin Sheryl & Rick; and Cousin Sherrian & Jerry. Had some laughs and shed a few tears as well -- you were so missed by all. Patty did not make to trip so need to try to see her sometime down the road.  On the way home stopped to see Guy & Barb in Jacksonville and you'd be pleased that visit went well also.  The only thing that would have made this trip better would for you to have been there as well!!

Now for a special note for you-

Whenever I think of you, I'm reminded of everything we shared, the special ways you made a difference in my life, and just how much keeping in touch really matters...
But most of all, when I think of you, I feel grateful that you gave me the gift of having you in my life.

Thank you for letting me know you are still around.  I still hear your voice and your wonderful laugh. Especially just before your Birthday and again the evening I sat down to send a card to Bear for your anniversary. I know he talks to you a lot, but I don't know if he always gets that you are there. As things go I believe that card was really from you to him for your anniversary. It felt like you were standing at my shoulder making the choice.  The "Angel" fish on the front and the two dolphins at the end, jumping out of the card. It was the 1st card on the screen and it seemed to keep coming back around.         You were so real that Sunday evening. Come visit anytime.

Here it is, the dreaded December 2013. Today, Dec.13, is your 61st Birthday; Dec. 18th, is our 38th Anniversary; and of course Dec. 25th is Christmas. There just is no "Happy" or "Merry" attached to those dates anymore without you here to share them - I can only deal with the good times of the past. Can not really express the loneliness I feel.  Just when I think things are getting better, I relapse and see no future.

Anyway, I'll read you the Birthday card I got for you and play the Birthday music box as well. Then will do the same for our Anniversary and Christmas - how you so enjoyed the holidays!

We're never really ready when a loved one leaves this world. There's always so much left we want to say. We long to turn back time and tell them all that's in our hearts. We think, "If only I had one more day."

We catch ourselves recalling little moments that we shared and smile at every sweet "remember when." We tell our favorite stories, and we laugh and cry and sigh, and somehow we feel close to them again.

We're never really ready when it's time to say good-bye, but slowly we accept what has to be, letting go of what we must but keeping those we love forever close to us in memory. Thinking of you.

     I can't believe it's been a year since you passed away - it seems like only yesterday that I held you and said goodbye even though you had already gone. I have to tell you, it's been pure agony and despair on my part - my only consolation is that your are without pain and at peace!
     I've tried my best to keep up with sending cards & flowers to your Mom, she still does not know your gone - have also sent cards and/or e-cards to the rest of the gang as well for B.D., Anniv., Holidays, etcetera.  They continue to provide some moral support for which I'm grateful!
     Pammy, I miss you more than I can ever express - my life is nothing without you by my side. I only hope we'll be reunited sooner than later. Pammy, I love you with all my heart!

Going thru this Holiday season is not the same knowing youre not a phone call away... to say hi, hear your laugh & get the occassional big sis advice/lecture.  I know you were always concerned about everyones well being and we'll always remember that.  I know your biggest concern was Barry.  It's an understatement to say that this is incredibly hard on him but "know" that he's taking it a day at a time & giving it his best.

Pammy, I will miss you so very much. I think of all the times I should have called and said the things I wanted to say, but never did. If it was not for you while growing up, I probably wouldn't have made it. YOU were my guardian angel, and Al's too.  
Life dealt you a very bad hand but you fought back long and hard. With Barry's over-whelming love,support and one of a kind wonderful humor you held on and made the best of it. 
God gave you the strength to continue on until you knew Barry would be okay and that Sande, Al, Steve and Joyce would be there to help pick up the pieces. I'm so sorry I wasn't there.
