I'm truly blessed to have had Papa in my life. He supported me through it all and loved me even when he couldn't recall my name. I will never forget the time I spent with the best Papa I could ever ask for. This is not a goodbye, but see you there Papa.

Heaven became a little fuller on 12-31-13 with the passing of a great man, the man that I was named after, the man who taught me so much, my Dad, Dr. Phillips Alan Brooks, Sr. 
 Watching him go through his battle with Alzheimer's was awful but  that day was the end of his confusion and he is in the presence of our Almighty God & walking the streets of gold. I'll never forget the bike rides we took in downtown Orlando or shooting hoops in the driveway or countless rounds of golf together.  There are far too many awesome memories to even begin to count.  I love you Dad & you will be terribly missed.

Phil was a real gantleman and a loyal friend and family man.  He and Jane were truly "one" and were blessed with 58 years of happy marriage.  He was an excellent anesthesiologist always conscientious about his patient care.  How he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.  Elise and Bill Bradford

I wish I could have known Phil before the disease took its toll, but even in the few years of our acquaintance nothing could obscure the wonderful nature of the man which he so clearly was: a true gentleman; kind, unfailingly courteous, and with a ready smile that lit up the room.  The thing which most impressed me, and which I will always remember, was the obvious, deep and abiding love between Phil and Jane.  It was a rare and beautiful thing to behold and a witness to the presence of Christ in their lives and marriage.  It was an honor to know Phil and I greatly look forward to seeing him again in the kingdom of our Lord.

Phil was a scholar, gentleman, patriot, Christian, and friend. Knowing him enriched the life of everyone he met. Phil will be remembered and missed until we meet again.

To Phil, my sweetheart of 58 years:
God has truly blessed us with a beautiful marriage and He gave us our 4 wonderful children and 7 precious grandchildren who all know the Lord.  We will all miss you terribly  but we know that you are in Heaven with Jesus.  That has been our hope as Christian believers. You now have a whole new body and your mind is once again sound like it once was. Thank you for all your love and caring which you showed to me even though you could no longer talk much at all right up to the time that the Lord called you home. As I sat with you by your chair and held your hand, you would pick up my hand and kiss it ever so gently on the back of my hand. You even did that the very last day I was with you before you went Home with the Lord. Dear Brooks family:
I am sorry for your loss. Dr. Brooks was a great man and remains an inspiration to me. Above all what I remember most of him was his service to family, God and his political activism. He was always a joy to be around and he made me feel special. I will pray for you during this difficult period, but yet rejoice at the thought of his life, family and Lord.
