Raul Agosto Ruiz

With profound sadness and hearts full of gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Raul Agosto Ruiz, age 84, of Winter Garden, Florida, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2026.

Raul was born on June 10, 1942, in Florida, Puerto Rico. From an early age, he demonstrated a deep love for learning and an unwavering devotion to God. He earned a degree in Communications from Sagrado Corazón University and later completed a Bachelor's degree in Theology, preparing him for a lifetime of faithful ministry and service.

For 50 wonderful years, Raul shared a loving and devoted marriage with the love of his life, Julia R. Agosto. Together, they built a beautiful blended family that began with four children and blossomed into a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless loved ones who were blessed by his wisdom, kindness, and unconditional love.

Raul answered God's call to ministry in Puerto Rico, where his pastoral journey began. After emigrating to Orlando, Florida, he faithfully continued serving the Lord for more than five decades. His ministry reached far beyond the walls of the church. He served as a jail chaplain, missionary, teacher, counselor, pastor, officiant, founder, mentor, and spiritual leader to countless individuals whose lives were forever changed through his compassion, guidance, and steadfast faith.

To know Raul was to know a man who genuinely loved people. He never met a stranger and always had time to encourage, pray, teach, or simply listen. His greatest joy was sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pointing others toward the hope, grace, and salvation found in Him. His life was a living testimony of humility, faithfulness, and unwavering obedience to God's calling.

While his accomplishments were many, Raul would want to be remembered not for titles or achievements, but for his love of God. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, a caring father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, a cherished uncle, and a faithful friend. Above all, he was a servant of Christ whose greatest desire was to see others come to know the Lord he loved so deeply.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void, yet we find comfort in knowing that he has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant," and now rests in the eternal presence of his Savior. Though our hearts ache with his passing, his legacy of faith will continue through every life he touched and every soul he inspired.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life lived with extraordinary purpose. May we all strive to love as he loved, serve as he served, and remain as faithful and devoted to God as he was until his very last breath.

Until we meet again, we will carry your memory in our hearts and honor your legacy by walking faithfully with the Lord you so passionately proclaimed.

Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, US, on July 28, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Cremation Gardens, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, US, on July 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
