

Born on June 1, 1941 in Philadelphia, grew up in Hammonton New Jersey until leaving to join the United States Army in 1958. While encamped at his first duty assignment in Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas he met the love of his life and life time mate, friend and wife Sonja R. Silipino. Raymond and Sonja were married in January of 1959 beginning their life together which endured till his passing.
A career soldier, Raymond served his country with honor during the Vietnam War and was awarded many citations to include the Bronze and Silver medals. Later in his military career he became a counter intelligence agent which would move he and his family around the world. After moving back to the United States in 1980 he retired from service to his country after twenty two years at Fort Rucker Alabama and began a second career with the Diebold Corporation servicing vault doors for the banking industry. After working another twenty two years for Diebold Corporation would retire for good in June 2002.
Raymond, a husband, father, grandfather, and brother lived a life of achievement and hard work and was surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter-in-law at the time of his passing and will be forever missed. One person, who exercised many roles in life will leave a big void.
Survivors include, wife Sonja, son Raymond C., daughter-in-law Erica J., granddaughter, Anabelle B., and brother, Lawerence (Larry).
Family who preceded him in death, daughter Christina K., brothers, Anthony and Robert (Bobby).
Services for Raymond will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road Gotha, Florida 34734 at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 26, 2018. Interment will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with full military honors in Mims, Florida.
