Rick was born on January 20, 1953 in NY, NY to his parents, Edward and Ruth Bernstein. He attended culinary school, and worked for the family business, Bernstein Brothers Inc. On June 17, 1979 Rick married the love of his life, Reyna Franco. Together, they moved to Levittown, NY, one of Rick’s childhood towns, to raise their family. He went on to own his own business, working in art and sculpture restoration. He semi-retired in 2013, and moved down to Lake Mary, FL.
Rick was a loving, caring, generous man, who loved to dance when he thought no one was watching. His sense of humor was unparalleled and he always loved to make everyone around him laugh. He always said “Dying is easy, comedy is hard”. His passions included motorcycle riding, flight simulators, cats, root beer, listening to film scores, and pickles.
Rick is survived by his loyal wife Reyna; their 4 children, Daneva, Lauren, Elizabeth, and Matthew; his sister Shelley; and his 2.5 grandchildren.
