It is with deep sorrow that we regretfully must announce the passing of our dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and just a truly unique, genuine, gentle, warm-hearted human being Richard Hill , (Tricky Dick). Richard had a very short battle with cancer and passed peacefully with all his family close by.

Richard has had an amazing long life, with tremendous contributions to his family, friends and the community. To all of us, his close family, he was absolutely an exemplary human being, and we are all extremely sad at his passing. He will forever be in our hearts and memories. No one will forget his “suggestions” and we will all continue to share those. May we all take away the amazing life lessons that he, to his last days chose to share with us!

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and brother.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Janet Hill; three children, Richard William Hill, Jr. and his wife Sherri, Deborah Peterson and her husband, Edward, and James Hill and his wife Michelle; sisters, Joyce Carollo and Judith Honneger, and Jane “Cookie” Jeppson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and his best friend, Dennis “Weasel” Wrosch.

A celebration of life service will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 3:00 - 5:00pm.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society will be accepted in honor of Richard Hill.

It is with sadness Sherri and I say goodbye to Richard Hill. One of our favorite people to be around! I can honestly say we laughed with you more than anyone else in this whole world! So glad we were able to get together last year! Love you and until we see each other again 👍 "Keep on Trucking" Uncle Dick"!❤

I have been searching for this picture of Rich receiving his 5 year plaque with the City of Ocoee Police Department, with Chief Brown, Sergeant Satterlee, Lieutenant Nylander and myself ! He was so tickled to be called in for his special moment!

Deb, Jim and Rick,
I wanted to let you all know how much we'll miss being with you and your families tomorrow to celebrate your Dad's life. I'm sure you will be surrounded by family and friends but please know our hearts and prayers will be with you. I know how very hard it can be to lose a parent as I still miss Mom after over 17 years. But I am comforted by the fact that I will see her again. I'm also thankful that your Dad is with her, Pam and many others to give them his hugs and make them laugh. Love you all ❤. Bill and Mona. (Sherri....will you please share with Rick. I don't have a Facebook thing for him. Thank you!!)

I was the supervisor of crossing guards for the city of Ocoee police Department and I have to tell you that Rich Hill was one of my best crossing guards his post was the McDonald’s side on Silverstar and Clark he asked to be moved for less hours so we moved him over to Mona and Wurst I got more responses to where is the gentleman that used to be at Silver star and Clark everybody missed him ,he was so jolly all the time he was so good with the kids always waving to all the cars! He was so proud of all the cards and letters he received from the school children he crossed! I can say he loved his job! Rich will certainly be missed! My condolences to the family!
