Rodney Jones

Rodney Jones, age 63 years, a native of St. Louis, MO and a former resident of Celebration, FL and a resident of Windermere, FL passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Rodney is survived by his beloved wife of thirty three years Debby Jones, loving daughter, Tiffany Alyssa Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, sister, Debi Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Rodney is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Rodney is an alumnus of Florida State University with a degree in Creative Arts, working in The Arts for five years. He found his life long career in insurance with State Farm receiving numerous awards within the company, while working as a State Farm Agent in St. Cloud, Florida for twenty eight years. Rodney received the Todd Mansfield award for community service while living in Celebration for ten years. Rodney was a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Director for Florida Hospital Celebration. Rodney loved to travel, spend time with his loving family while also dedicating time to his passion, art. Rodney’s art has showed in many venues across the states most recently Amsterdam – Whitney Gallery in New York and donating much of his art to charitable organizations. Rodney was a devoted Catholic and was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:00AM. Interment to follow services in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm with a 7pm Rosary Service at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
