

born on May 26, 1922, in Parkman, Ohio, to parents Roswell and Cora Blair. He was a World War II
Veteran who served in the 32nd Infintry Division and 5th Air Corps. After completion of his military
career, Mr. Blair became a mechanic. In 1956, he moved from Parkman, Ohio to Orlando,
Florida with his wife, Dorothy E. Blair. After the passing of his wife Dorothy in 1977, Mr. Blair remarried
Pat Hunt Blair in 1979. He was employed by Hood Tractor for 28 years before retiring in 1984.
In addition to being a skilled mechanic, Mr. Blair was also a professional musician and vocalist. He
learned how to play the drums at a very early age and later formed a local jazz and big band called
“The Sophisticated Sounds.” The popular band was made up of local musicians in Orlando and
performed at weddings and various social events. Mr. Blair also spent countless hours sharing
his musical talents at local nursing homes.
Mr. Blair is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy E. Blair, his second wife, Pat Hunt Blair and his
stepdaughter, Jo Dee Fussell. He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes R. Corbett and stepchildren,
Judy Wright and James Hunt. 4 grandchildren; Christopher Corbett, Shannon Allen, Gaiana Martinez
and William Corbett. In addition, he was blessed with 8 great grandchildren; Tyler Allen, Jayde
Lindbery, Mallory Long, Jillian Corbett, Haley Corbett, Rhett Brown, Samual Allen and Trent Corbett.
His Great Great Grandchildren include; Cash Long, Lola Long, Wyatt Lindbery, Rocklyn Conti, Gentry
Lindbery and Bowen Lindbery.
