Bishop Roland Binda, It is a bittersweet moment for me, as I only met you in August 2018 when you came to Tuschen in Guyana. I remembered that warmth  hug that you gave everyone and as I received my hug, I felt the holy spirit immediately. The last time you visited Guyana was in 2019 when you ordained and anointed  me as a Minister.  I enjoyed being around you as you always would have encouraging words for us to learn more in our spiritual life. You are in a better place and I know your legacy will live on and the work you started will continue. To First Lady Irene and children, Bishop will always be a part of your daily living.  Minister Onecka Newland.

I know this is one of the latest memories posted here, but there was a good reason for posting this so late. When I heard about Bishop's death, I was shocked like many of you, but I wanted to do something special. I sent him two hand-painted items when he was still alive. And it only felt right if I did one more painting. This painting took too long due to many factors. But here are some words I wrote to Bishop before his passing. 

"Even to the strongest, needs the most prayers." 

       "Dear Bishop, I know you're not feeling well, but out of all the people I've encountered in my life, I see you as the strongest, no matter what. Through every storm you have been through, you went through with a smile on your face. You never let the enemy get to you without a fight. You always stand strong no matter what. You have shown people how strong you are and that you can handle it. But sometimes you fall, that even the strongest person falls and needs help. Help through prayers. You've preached how people shouldn't idolize you but pray for you. Like us, you are human, so as one of the strongest people there is."  I hope you're smiling from the heavens down to earth, that you are in a better place. Knowing that you'll be by your family side, guiding and watching them. Even though you're in heaven now, you still played a significant role in many of our lives.

The short time I have gotton to know Bishop Binda, was very please to met such a pleasant person. His encouragement was inspiring and was very comforting to know that he had complete faith in the GOD who control the universe. 
He will be missed a lot. Especially his loved ones and his church family. Please accept my prayer and know GOD will never neglect us, we just have to reach out to HIM. Stay bless everyone.

I ‘m still  in  shock  to hear about my dear cousin That I was so close to growing up . He was like a big brother to me. My sisters and I could talk to him about anything  knowing it would stay with him and not getting us in trouble lol.  Even though life gets busy and we all grew up and have our own lives he will always have a very special place in my heart . I remember stopping in my brother ‘s store where he worked and always offered to buy me a candy or a drink .  I’m very proud of all of his accomplishments in life and all the people he touched... I know for sure where he is at , Rejoicing with the lord . I remember bringing my daughter (Ariel) there everyday and he would love on her like his own kids. I will miss him dearly. It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Bishop Binda with whom I have been acquainted for over 13 years. Although we lived many miles away, he was always ready to offer a word of encouragement, a blessing, guidance and general love and concern for whatever was happening in my life at that particular time. It was wonderful to meet him and Sister Irene in person on their trip to Cayman in 2019 and to share some special moments with them. When Bishop included us with his group to visit Israel in 2017 our family was happy and we we will treasure the memories of that trip as well as his care, and his prayers of faith for Raquel in particular. His influence and legacy will live on.  Our love to Sis. Irene and the entire Binda family.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Bishop Roland. He will always be remembered for his genuine concern for everyone. He was always supportive and gave the best he had. I am so grateful for the memories we had with Bishop especially when he came to Cayman in 2017 as well as our wonderful trip to Israel in 2019. I am thinking of Sister Irene and the rest of the family and pray the peace of God will be your portion.

My deepest condolences to the Binda family. Having known the family since I was a teenager, I can truly say that this is a family who have always been good stewards of the Lord. Pastor Roland was no exception. Even though he's not here with us anymore, we can rest assured that he is with his Master whom he served with gladness. He will always be remembered for his steadfast love for the Lord and others. May he enjoy the blessings God has reserved for him.

There is not one day that we don't think about our Bishop. You will forever have a special place in our hearts. We have known Bishop for over 19 years. He has become part of our lives and has made such a drastic impact. He dedicated my two children, Rosana and Ricardo, and always prayed over our family. He always supported and gave everyone the best he had. He was always willing to share and help people walk with Jesus. We are forever grateful for the opportunities and memories we have with Bishop. He baptized my family and helped us build a stronger relationship with Jesus. He was always working for God and would guide others to live their life for Jesus. He was a true man of god and left a legacy that will never be forgotten. We are so grateful to have met a man like him and experience his love. We will always remember his songs and dedication to Jesus. Our favorite song was when he would sing alone, “Roll back the curtains of memories now and then.” We can still hear his voice and will always miss it. We will miss going to church every week, seeing him and shaking his hand before leaving. We know he is walking with Jesus and is rejoicing in heaven.

Truly you were a Pastor after God’s own heart. Our relationship was a Divine App.in 1996. You were the heart, hands and feet of Jesus our Lord. A Conduit of God’s Grace . I was in the valley of affliction, broken and hopeless. Even doctors gave up on me. But our God who anointed you with Acts 10:38 blessing and sent you forth had a great purpose for your life. Along with such a gracious angel Sis Irene, you embraced me , took me in your home . You not only care and nurtured me but as the Oracle of God you spoke life into me with great faith. “You shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord.” To God be all glory!! Holy Spirit was evident in your life and Ministry. Added to the Kingdom of God was my household whom you had the honour to baptize. My mom, my siblings We all can testify of blessings and miracles because you chose to heed and obey the call of God .  I love you dearly and Sis Irene (you are a blessing) Emily, Felicia, Johnny and all the members of your household. Your labour has ended  here on earth. Your touched so many lives . You reached down to the most vulnerable and show them the way to the cross . I treasure the memories of TYWM.But I feel humbled and will treasure the call From Ohio Hospital. When that day not long ago you said you felt and knew I was praying for you . And it was so true. You were so excited to talk about your grandchildren. And I humbly prayed for you but like you always do you prayed and then pronounced a blessing on my life to fulfill God’s calling 
I still feel the awesomeness of that day and your love not knowing you were going HOME to Jesus to rest on His gentle breast. My only comfort is from God’s Word . Like Elisha, God’s servant who with a double portion anointing, he too got sick and died. (2Kings 13:14) who can under the ways of our Lord . We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our Bishop. He was undoubtedly one of the most influential people we've known and certainly a true man of God. The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

The heart of his ministry was his passion for the 'word', his commitment to spreading the good news and his love for ALL.  He was such a brave and courageous man, kind, loving, compassionate, caring and humble servant of God.

He is an irreplaceable person and will be missed beyond measure. His contagious smile and keen sense of humor will be sorely missed. 

Today, so many people are mourning his death, but we are also rejoicing that he is in heaven with the Lord.  Father, we accept that he has been accepted into your Kingdom and now he is truly in a better place.

Father, we bow before your throne of grace and mercy, requesting your Holy presence. Lord, comfort the Binda family (the bishop's wife, his parents, his children, his siblings, his church families) and everyone affected during this very difficult time, please draw near Lord.

Hold us closely to your heart, as we weep in the passing of our beloved Bishop Roland Binda.  Father, heal our broken hearts, as we cry out in desperation. At this time, we chose to utilize the teachings he has left behind, not only in our own lives but in the lives of others.

This was taken on Bishop's 60th Birthday.He prophesied  to my daughter before she conceived  her 3rd.child that she was going to have a son next.When she became pregnant I told him and as he walked away said "she's having a son".Indeed my grandson is a prophetic child ,Bishop was indeed a Prophet from God.We will miss him.Our love and prayers for the bereaved families of him and all the brethren  at Touching your world Ministries. When my family and I moved to the US in 2016, the first thing we did was find a church. We found one but then this pastor came highly recommended from Rev. James Sampson of Wakenaam Island, where we are from. This church, was amazing. The people were close knit and most of all, Bishop was AMAZING. He took us under his arms immediately and knew us by name and always tried to help us whenever, very caring. He prayed whenever we needed and checked in with us over text. I felt like I’d gotten another father. He’s that kind of person that his love just radiates over your life and when you sit and listen to his sermons, it just fills you with joy. I cannot believe he is gone much like everyone else but we send our comfort to the everyone in the family because he was truly a gem and he touched all of our hearts.

When I was just about 15 years old, he visited my church in Better Hope, Guyana.  Back then I had an autograph book and asked him for his autograph. He then ask me for my Bible to autograph. I didn’t had one I told him. He then gave me his Bible he used to preached that Sunday. It was my FIRST Bible. And it’s the same Bible I still have and use today. #myfirstbible. #inheaven’sglory.#willbemissed. 

Bishop will forever be the BEST person I’ve ever known. He cared, like no other. Was kind, like no other. Gave the best advice, like no other. Showed generosity, like no other. He was always ready to listen to whatever you have on your heart-no matter how infinitesimal it may seem-and saw you through any situation, like no other. Bishop loved, like no other. 

It was his beautiful heart coupled with his never-ending faith in God that made him the special man who blessed the lives of so many people, including me. I love you Bishop. I know that you’re singing with the angels in glory now, while watching over us next to our Heavenly Father. I will miss your bright smile, big hugs, and your spirit filled-energetic preaching and dance moves on a Sunday morning. Thank you for being you, and teaching me to walk by faith.

Rest In Peace Bishop Roland B Binda On behalf of my self and my family.We are very sorry to hear this news.Bishop were a spiritual man God has used him to heal my disease I am so grateful to had the pleasure of meeting him and attending a few Sunday morning services.I am thankful to hear his soft voice and the word he preach I love his song and his music his memories will always be in our hearts.My condolences to the entire Binda family.

Pastor Roland was the reason I accepted Christ. He was the one to baptize me at Sunken Meadow, his favorite park. God sent him our way one cold day in February of 1995 to rescue me and my sisters, we had no where to stay and he took us in without ever knowing us prior to that day. I will always remember that burgundy Chevy that took us to warmth. He became my early mentor at age 15 and thought me how to tie my tie. I always wanted to dress like him and play music like him. I was lucky to have the chance to know your love and compassionate soul. Some of my basic family values and beliefs was inspired by him. May you rest peacefully, and to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Your mark in my life will forever live on. To my first and only Pastor, you will always be in our hearts. We love you. 

Thank you my beloved bishop, on behalf of our family for blessing us with your wisdom, your anointing, your generous heart and energetic spirit. What we gained from you as a Spiritual Father is immeasurable. Personally, I cannot describe the pain of saying goodbye so early,  I wanted you to see me soar, because you gave me my wings. Our Bishop was truly a man after God's own heart. He followed God's will and led by example.He dedicated his life to the Lord and always encouraged us to trust and love God. I'm so blessed to have had him in my life, we shared many wonderful memories. No matter what the situation I know I could have always counted on him to be there, to support, to guide, to discipline and mostly to love me. The more you got to know him and spend time with him, the more you could see his heart of gold, always so generous and loving. Thankful for his wisdom and love. There are so many things I'll miss about my Bishop. I've never met another man of God quite like you, always encouraging (even when you're scolding me). Some of your best qualities are your humbleness, warm hugs, HUGE smile, and a kind God filled heart. You were always more than just a Bishop to me, but also a friend, dad, and adviser. You have taught me so much about my relationship/walk with God and I will continue to follow in your path. Dear, kind, humble servant of God you are truly missed. Rest in peace until we meet again.  My family (Bro. Harry, Sis. Lilly, Anil, Romesh) and I have known Pastor Roland, Sis. Irene, Emily, Felicia, and Jonathan since the early 90's.  We all spent many good times together, and we even attended three services every Sunday with Pastor Roland.  There's so many memories I have but one stands out the most, Pastor Roland taught me to ride a bicycle.  He was always very patient and soft spoken.  Sis. Irene, Emily, Felicia, Jonathan, Grandma Enid, Grandpa, and the entire family, you all are in our prayers!  
(For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. Romans 6;5).

Rest in peace my Bishop you will be greatly missed.  I will always remember the long conversations that we used to have. The laugh and many jokes we share. I thank God for placing in my life. Even was for a short time the impact that you made  will last forever.

Rip Bishop Roland Binda! You were the first person I saw playing a guitar and worshipping God with all your heart and soul. I always looked up to you and wanted to be just like you, singing and preaching the gospel. I still remember the songs you would sing, wings of a dove, through it all, I had nothing, remind me dear Lord, one more valley, thank you Lord For the blessings on me and the list goes on and on. I was able to play and sing for your birthday a couple years back where you saw me lead worship in your church just as I watched you. You told me you were always proud of me and everything I’m doing in the Lord. You are one of the reasons why I am doing the work of the Lord today. You will be missed by me and so many others. Bishop was one of a kind. Not only a man of God but a father, a leader, and a friend. There aren’t enough words to explain how much of a wonderful and loving person he was. While this loss is hard to swallow, I’m still thankful for the 10 years I was blessed with to know him. He showered me with a love i never knew, showed me kindness that I didn’t believed existed anymore and most importantly he taught me about God and Jesus and the importance of following God’s word. While he may not be physically here anymore, I’ll forever cherish the memories, laughs, lectures, and music he brought into my life. 

RIP Bishop, I cannot thank you enough for your love and kindness. I know you’re rejoicing in Heaven now ❤️

I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing the words of Bishop Binda 3 years ago.....a few times.  You have touched so many by just conversations or your sermons.  You were devoted to our young people because you knew they needed guidance.   Bishop Binda rest in peace knowing that your words of wisdom have impacted everyone you crossed.

I'm very sorry to hear this news. I have great memories attending many occasions with Pastor Roland in the early years of his ministry. Many years playing keyboard and guitar with him. He was also very close to our family.   He also was the Pastor for my Wedding. My favorite person in the world is my Bishop. One of the most special memories of him to me was when  he came to our house for the first time to do the Thanksgiving Service on January 26th, 2013 and, that was the first time I met him. The next day on my 5th birthday, he dedicated me at church.  The picture I posted of him and I was my favorite memory of him after he baptized me, you can see the big smile on his face, plus, his hugs were the best. That is a smile I will remember for the rest of my life. <3 I love you Bishop.


It was a Mother's Day service at Church, and after the Youths and Sunday Schoolers performed, Bishop gathered us all in front of the church below the stage. He said a speech on how proud of us he was, and how he wants each and everyone of us to succeed. He prayed for us, along with the whole church. After he said Amen, he laughed with joy and continued with saying that he was very proud. He then said "Would my youths ever let me down?", he looked down at us. Again, he looked down at all of us and asked, "Would you guys ever let me down?". I remember all of us were shaking our heads, no. Ever since then, that quote has stuck with me. Whenever I was frustrated with anything such as, school, homework, friends, or family, I always thought if what I was doing letting Bishop down. With this, most of the time, it got me through anything I was struggling with. He was my motivation for everything, with the strength of God and Bishop's motivational quote, I knew I was able to overcome any obstacle that life threw at me. He became my favorite person, which led to how I drew his portrait. It was art class, and we were partnered with someone else and the task was to draw a portrait of one of our favorite people. We flipped a coin, and thank God, I won. Without even thinking, I said Bishop. It was around his birthday and Christmas time, but due to him not being in church, I was never able to give it to him but he saw it, and he loved it, that brought so much joy to my heart. However, the portrait only portrayed his outer, glowing beauty. If I were to even try to draw out what Bishop's heart looked like, I wouldn't even get 1/4 of it down on paper, thats how pure he was. Inside, and out. He might not be with us anymore, but his purity and beauty will say in my heart, forever.

Grief is a reminder that we loved, and were loved. May the peace that is within the memories of love, share comfort for you now, and in the future. We hope that you all find strength and comfort in the warmth of caring loved ones, and friends. Our hearts are overflowing with sorrow. 
The best quality that Bishop had in our eyes, was that he was never short on lending a hand. His heart was pure gold, and as big as you can imagine.  
Our best memory of Bishop was the hugs he gave us every Sunday after church.  We will all miss his big, beautiful smile. We will love and cherish all the memories that we had with you, always.
