

Rosemary Dudley Harvey was born on August 16, 1929 and died on January 29, 2014. She is survived by her son Morgan (Nancy) Harvey of Bolingbroke, GA, daughter Alison (Jim) Hannon of Sorrento, FL, daughter-in-law Jeanne (Bob) Miller of Winter Springs, FL, grandson Justin (Emily) Harvey of Nashville, TN, granddaughter Ansley (Donny) Hunt, Jr. of Bolingbroke, GA, granddaughter Brooke (Chad) Rees of Clermont, FL, Lane (Jenny) Griffith of Winter Garden, FL, and Neal (Nicole) Harvey of Winter Springs, FL. Great grandchildren are Austin Tucker Griffith, Tristan Hunt, Libby Harvey, Cayden Rees, Camden Hunt, Ryals Harvey, Sawyer Rees and Abigail Griffith. Sisters-in-law Francis Harvey of Orlando, FL and Beverly (Basil) Broome of Tampa, FL, and brother-in-law Jack (Jackie) Harvey of Sugar Hill, GA. Her husband Harold and son Danny (Alison’s twin brother) preceded her in death. She was born in Ocoee, FL, to LL and Alice Dudley and was preceded in death by both parents and four brothers, Alan Shaw, Horace Dudley, Fred Dudley and J.C. Dudley. Rosemary was a lifelong resident of Orange County. She graduated with her BSN from Emory University.She worked at ORMC and for Dr. Scanlon of W.G. for several years and then went back to school to get her Master of Education from Stetson, and later to get her Master of Special Education from Florida Technical University. She began her teaching years at Ocoee Elementary and then moved to Windermere Elementary where she taught in the class and then special education. Her years of teaching span over 30 years. She loved being a teacher to all of her kids.She was a member of a teachers’ sorority that she thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. In her leisurely time she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the world.
Visitation with be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
