It is with deep sorrow that the family of Roy Lee Snoeblen, age 65, announces his peaceful passing on January 20, 2025, at his home in Orlando, Florida. Roy was born on October 28, 1959, in Orlando to Jacquelyn and Everett Schnoebelen.
A Certified Public Accountant, Roy began his career as a public accounting firm auditor before transitioning to the private sector, where he served in various finance capacities as he scaled his career. He worked for Don Mealey Chevrolet, Six Star Management Holding Company, and ultimately ended his career as Comptroller at Greenway Dodge. Roy also worked in the mortgage sector from 2005-2008. Roy was known for accomplishing highest achievements in everything he did, always striving for excellence and demonstrating exceptional dedication, integrity, and leadership. His work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect of colleagues and peers, and he was a mentor to many throughout his career.
Roy graduated from the University of Florida in 1982 with a degree in accounting, and he remained a lifelong Gator fan. His pride for his alma mater was evident, and he enthusiastically followed the Gators in every sport.
He worked hard, but he also knew how to play hard. Roy loved spending time on the water; boating, skiing and floating. It was not unlike him to end an evening floating around the lake, sharing a glass of wine with his wife Kim, as they watched the sun set. He cherished every moment with his friends and family and his special global travels and experiences together with his loving wife, Kim. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his unwavering support of those closest to him. His loyalty, generosity, and deep love for his family and friends were evident to all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kimberly Dawn Snoeblen; his brother Donald Snoeblen and wife Kathleen; his sister Diane H. Searcy; and sister in law Karen Schnoebelen; nephews Hal Hatch, Chad Schnoebelen, and Brad Schnoebelen; nieces Julianna Snoeblen and Giselle Holbrook. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacquelyn and Everett Schnoebelen and his brother, Ralph Schnoebelen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities where a counseling suite will be properly furnished for his wife to continue to peruse her field of which he proudly supported.
The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities provides free consultative support to autistic people and their support systems in addition to professional training, technical assistance and public education.
