OBITUARY

Sally Mae Hill

January 1, 1933February 6, 2019

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing of the passing of Sally Mae Hill of Orlando, Florida on 6 February 2019. She was raised in Montezuma, Georgia where she met and married the love of her life, Willie Dean Hill. Together they moved to Florida and had one child before Willie’s passing in 1973. Sally worked hard as a single mother and retired from the Orlando County School District after over 30 years of service. Sally spent a lot of time working in her yard and making her house comfortable and beautiful. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends and her family, especially her loving grandchildren. She was an exceptional mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dean Hill and her brothers, Charles Lockwood and Samuel Lockwood. She leaves behind her son, Eddie Dean Hill and his wife, Sandra Hill both of Warrensburg, Mo. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Dean Alexander Hill and Jessica Lee Hill, both of Warrensburg, Mo.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday.

Ms Sally,
Thank you for being a great second mom. In our early years, Eddie and I were together all the time. You made me feel welcome in your home and life. I know we could be a handful. Love you always.

Even though I never got the pleasure of meeting you I feel I know you through your son Dean and daughter in law who spoke so well of a woman you are. I’m sure you are dancing in heaven with your loved ones . No more pain or worries.

Dear Sally, You were an Angel here on earth and now you can celebrate in heaven with your beloved husband and family. I miss seeing you pulling your trash cans out to the road while yelling at the boys to hurry and run over to your house and do it for you...or you asking me when I was going to brush my hair (lol)...and why I would drive so fast backwards....You were so independent and the hardest working woman I know. Every day we wake up and we still look out our kitchen window in hopes to see you sitting outside of your back porch. Thank you for loving my boys and treating them like they were yours. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. You will never be forgotten and we will always be thankful to have had you in our lives...We will love you alway and miss you so much!

Love,
Susan, Charles, Chandler, and Christian

What can I say other than what a wonderful woman mom was and how so fortunate I was to call her my mother-in-law for the past 26 years. I remember her eyes lighting up with the announcement of our engagement but that was nothing compared to the joy she had when her grandchildren came into this world. Mom you will be missed more than words can say but God is so fortunate to have you as an angel in his kingdom. Until we meet again... I love you.
