Seepaul Singh Lekraj

Seepaul Singh Lekraj, 68, passed away in the arms of his loving wife on Saturday January 6th, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. Viewing services will be held on Monday January 15th, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A Funeral program will be held on Tuesday January 16th, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Both services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.

Seepaul was born on Friday February 9th, 1955, in Unity Village, Guyana to Lakraj and Indrati Singh. During his younger years in Guyana, he worked for Guyana Airways Corporation (GAC) where he cultivated a lifelong interest in aviation. In late 1977, he met the love of his life, Uma Prasad, whom he eventually married in June 1978.

In December 1980, Seepaul and his wife immigrated to the United States with their newborn son. There he continued to build a life of opportunity for their young family as well as grow his family by adding his second son. He worked extremely hard to create a decent home and eventually developed a deep knowledge in computer technology, obtaining several cloud computing and networking certifications. He was extremely proud of his career trajectory which concluded with retirement at Century Link in Winter Park, Florida in January 2014.

No matter what Seepaul achieved in his life, he remained a humble and simple man. He took care to stay grounded and never lost perspective of what was important to him and his family. His love for his wife was unwavering and he made sure he provided his children with every opportunity to be successful. Seepaul also had a deep passion for music and would spend hours playing musical instruments during his free time.

Seepaul is survived by his wife Uma, his two sons and daughter in-laws, Vishnu (Neepa) and Vishaun (Deepa), and four dear grandchildren: Yash, Anil, Isha, and Sonia.

A public visitation for Seepaul will be held Monday, January 15, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A celebration of life service will occur Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A witness cremation will occur Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Crematory, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
