

Sharon Kay (Melet) Walsh, 71, passed away on March 20, 2024 at her home in Florida where she was surrounded by her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law and sister. Sharon was born in Steubenville, OH on November 30, 1952 to the late Henry & Teresa (Lascaro) Melet.
Sharon recently lived in the Central Florida area to be close to her family and three grandchildren. Prior to that, she lived in Fredericksburg, VA in her dream home in Fawn Lake that she built with her husband. For most of her adult life, she lived in Northern Virginia where she worked for Unisys before retiring to focus on and support her family and friends.
Sharon had an unwavering faith in God and a deep and devoted love for her family and friends. Her inner strength and passion for living life in the moment lives on in everyone who was fortunate to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Teresa (Lascaro) Melet, and her brother, Henry "Hank" Melet.
Sharon is survived by her husband, John Walsh, Sr.; her children, John (Theresa) Walsh Jr., Anna Walsh and Chris Walsh; her sister, Terri (Dan) Lash; and her three grandchildren, Eva Walsh, Mae Bouchard and Greyson Bouchard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 22nd from 6pm-8pm. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
