Shawn was born December 21, 1970, in Great Lakes, Illinois to Diane (O’Neill) & Terrance Howard McDaniel.
He moved to Florida at the age of 10yrs with his 4 sisters and called Orlando his home, attending Boone High School.
He was a hard-working man and a perfectionist. Determined, hardheaded, and direct, with a big personality. He could make you laugh and make you think.
He was a devoted husband to his wife Lori and a dedicated father to his son Drake.
Shawn is preceded in death by his father, Terrance Howard and his sister Anne Daniel. He is survived by his wife Lori – son Drake – mother & stepfather Diane & Don Kepus – and his sisters Tera Weiss, Robin Muse, and Laura Nasiatka. He is also survived by all his loving nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held for Shawn on Sunday, February 1, 2026, beginning at 2pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha.
