Shirley Biggs, 78, went to be with the Lord on April 26. She was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Biggs, just before he entered the Air Force. Upon retirement in 1988, they moved to Orlando. Shirley loved church, gardening, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandsons, Steve, Mike, and Chris Lumbert and Brian and Eric Biggs. In recent years, one of her greatest joys was volunteering at the First Life Center for Pregnancy. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry and grandsons Mike and Steve. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Lumbert of Orlando, her son Brent Biggs of Vail, Colorado, her sister Penny Coleman of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and three grandsons Chris, Brian, and Eric. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 1, at 3:00 pm in the Henry Chapel at First Baptist Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando FL, 32805. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to First Baptist Orlando designated for the First Life Center for Pregnancy.
Arrangements are being handled by Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.
