Stephen Jerald Spicer
April 18, 1947 – June 14, 2019

Mr. Stephen Jerald Spicer, 72, passed away June 14, 2019 in Longwood, Florida.
He was born on April 18,1947 in Oak Park, Illinois to Wilgus and Alva (Calmes) Spicer.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, discharged as an Honorable E4.
Under the care of All Stars Assisted Living Facility in Forest City, Florida for 8 years, owners Robert & Mary Singh said that Stephen was a good man with whom they shared laughter. He never asked for much, was content and grateful.
A celebration to honor Mr. Spicer’s life will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18 with full military honors
at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
The Patriot Guard Riders and The American Legion Riders will then escort the funeral procession from Woodlawn Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734) to Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513). He will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. at
Florida National Cemetery.
The community and members of the media are invited to attend the burial in support of Mr. Spicer’s service to the nation.
The burial is sponsored by Woodlawn Funeral Home and the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program. The Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program is a cooperative effort designed to ensure that veterans who are homeless, indigent, and have no family receive the honors in death that their service in life merited. We are honored to assist in giving Mr. Spicer the dignified military services he deserves.
