

After a two year heroic battle with breast cancer, she was granted her angel wings on September 16, 2011. She passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Susan was born on February 19, 1955 in Olney, Illinois to Dale and Hannah Mattingly. Although Susan has resided in Florida since 1984, she has always had a special place in her heart for Indiana where she grew up.
Susan was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother who provided love, guidance and a strong faith. She was also known for her wisdom, unconditional love and thoughtful acts of kindness. She has touched many lives throughout her lifetime and will be remembered forever.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara and son-in-law, Ryan Seamann of Charlotte, NC, son Kyle Eckelbarger and daughter-in-law Deana of Sanford, FL, son Adam Eckelbarger and daughter-in-law Jessica of Edgewater, FL; grandchildren Tyler and Gavin Seamann of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her sister, Jean and brother-in-law Thomas Johnson Sr., niece Lisa, husband Frank DeBole and their three children, Rebecca, Rachel and Nicholas, nephew Thomas Johnson Jr. and wife Pamela.
Susan and her family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of her friends and family who have stood by her side through thick and thin for the past two years. She truly felt blessed by all of you and will never forget your love and support. They would also like to send a special thank you to her cousin Pam Decker, friend Tina Richardson, friend Alicia Kocher, and the medical team that helped her fight this battle, Dr. Molthrop, Melinda Bresson, and staff.
For all those wishing to pay their respects a visitation will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road on September 20, 2011 between 6:00 PM and 8:00. In lou of sending flowers the family has chose a charity to donate in the honor of Susan’s name called Libby’s Legacy.
