From cousin Celeon,
          Sydney and I grew up together at one point in our lives. We always expressed to each other what loving cousins we were. Sydney had a very pleasant personality one would always enjoy being around him. My closest time with him was when I took up residence  here in Florida. He became a member at the of the North Orlando SDA church that I attended. I do miss him but I know we will meet each other at heaven's door enjoying the presence of the Master. My thoughts and prayers are with our family at this time.

As a kid living all the way in Switzerland, we talked with you regularly on the phone but I had never seen your face in person. Then one day, my mom told us we were going to visit our grandfather in America. I was so excited, but I never imagined how much that trip would mean to me.

When I finally met you, your kindness, warmth, and loving heart made an impression on me that I never forgot. I remember thinking, “If I ever get married, my husband better be like my grandfather.” That’s how much I admired and respected you.
Even though we lived far apart, you always held a special place in my heart. I will always cherish our last conversation and carry that memory with me forever. 
I love you, Grandpa. You will always be remembered, deeply missed, and forever in my heart. ❤️🕊️

To Mr. Sydney Reid; I'm so fortunate to have you as a dear friend and prayer warrior. I'm going to miss our long talks and prayers that kept me going daily. I'm thankful that God placed you in my life. I appreciate your diligence that ultimately lead me to our savior Jesus Christ. Thanks for being a comforter when times were uncertain in my life.  You never judged me but showed by example what a true man of God exemplifies. You taught me how to pray and to seek guidance, wisdom and understanding through scripture. I couldn't ask for a better friend that's thoughtful, disciplined and strong-willed. Your amazing strength has helped me to trust in the word of God and I will take this with me everywhere I go.

Ecclesiastes 3:1|There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

Life brings both joy and loss. This verse reminds us that grieving is a natural and an important part of life’s rhythm.
I met Bishop Sydney a couple years ago through my Aunt Carmel. My mother Fay was living in Orlando before she passed away , Mr Sydney although he was not 100% in health but he was always there to take her around, a true man of God. He was very helpful ,jovial, knowledgeable, very stern like a soldier but he loves people and had a lot of life experiences. He would tells us countless testimonies of where he traveled around the world of miracles. I can say he loved the Lord and for that he really depicts what child of God should display love the unlovable and reach the unreachable the poor and needy as long has he had the strength. I've grown in my prayer life because of Mr, Sydney.

May his soul rest in peace

I thank God for the privilege of meeting Bishop Sydney Reid. I call him Mr. Sydney. This picture was taken at his house  while attending a funeral in Orlando . When I came back to Jamaica I was added to a prayer line every Monday & Friday mornings at 6am. This has helped me in my spiritual growth in the Lord.

My  acquaintance  with Bishop Sydney  began when he joined the Character Building for Eternity Internation Prayer Ministry (CBFEIPM) in 2022. From that time to shortly before of his death, he reflected a quiet devotion and a gentle Christlike spirit, that inspired and encouraged others.   His faith was rooted in hope, anchored in God’s promises, and steady in trust. 
Bishop Reid will be remembered with gratitude by his Siblings of the C BFEIPM, and all who crossed his path. May his memory continue to inspire kindness, and faith in God in the lives he touched.

On behalf of the Character Building For Eternity International Prayer Ministry we extend our deepest condolences to the family. On CBFEIPM we call ourselves Siblings, and Sydney Reid was a sibling indeed. He was kind, and very caring. Often coming on the line before the line  started to pray for others, many times he would be the only one on that early.  A few months before he passed, he took a trip to Roatan, Honduras to visit his “adopted”, 16 year old granddaughter Olga. Olga is an orphan, his trip to Roatan, made Olga feel super special. During his time in Honduras a bond was developed not only between him and Elder McBride, but also the workers assistanting  to build a community center in Crawfish Rock. He brought lunch for them and a 3 legged dog he named Sydney.  Sydney, the 3 legged dog did not leave his side ,  sitting close to him whenever he visited the site. He will forever be missed on the CBFEIPM.

Fulfilling the Great Commission
Was his mission.
Sharing Jesus...
His greatest passion.
Throughout the world,
Christ's love he told.

He evangelived
To those native
And foreign;
A continental love affair
The love of Jesus
His greatest gift to share.

Mission trips?
Many.
Which countries?
They varied.
Lives touched?
Numerous.
Between the last two trips a devastating diagnosis.
Yet triumphantly
He ran on,
Pressing toward the finish line,
Until he entered
His rest
 in Christ.

Now we grab firm hold
Of the baton,
And lovingly carry on
The gospel of salvation.
For though his race is finished,
His legacy remains...
A harvest still growing
From seeds sown in Jesus' name.

Hello this is Julia Harris from Jamaica , I’m sending my condolences to the Reid family. It is a pleasure to be able to have met Mr Sydney through my moterhinlaw. I can say that he was a very  considerate, selfless, kind and caring man. He will be greatly missed by many i’m sure. He will always be remembered.

Mr. Reid had an Ora about him that commanded your attention whenever he spoke. He was humble, and selfless. He was a true servant for the Lord and has impacted positively, countless lives. His presence and wisdom will be missed, greatly. Condolences to the family and I pray the presence of the Lord will draw nearer to each person who knew him, to give them the peace and strength they need during this difficult time. Let me encourage you all: Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”…and it will be a joy to see our loved one, Sydney,  yet again when our Savior returns for His faithful servants. That’s a day  I can’t wait to witness!
