Taysuprabha Devi Ramphal

Taysuprabha Ramphal, referred to by her loved ones as “Prabsy” was born on May 24th, 1942, in Georgetown, Guyana. She was the eldest of 19 siblings. As a young girl, she loved to spend time with her family and often acted as a caretaker to her siblings.

She later married and went on to have 2 children of her own, Indira and Roy (Johnny). She loved her children more than anything; they were her pride and joy. Prabsy and her family later moved to England and stayed there for around 12 years before settling in New York. She worked as a caregiver for many years during her time in New York and would always speak about how much she loved it. In her free time, she loved watching movies, going to Indian concerts, cooking, and spending time with her family.

After her retirement, she took excellent care of her daughter, Indira, who unfortunately passed away in 2018. She then moved to Florida in 2019 to live with her son, Roy. On April 20th, 2025, Prabsy passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Prabsy lived a fulfilling life full of love, laughter, and happiness. She was a loving and caring woman who often put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by her son, granddaughter, siblings, friends, and loved ones. We will always hold our memories with her close to us, and we take solace in knowing she is at peace. We love you.

A visitation for Taysuprabha will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
