Loved talking and was very quiet. The teachers all complained to her mother that she knew the answers to the questions but will not talk up. The school master said to her mother, "this child has something good in her, but i am afraid we would have to cut her to get it out.
At the age of 10 she gave her heart to the lord and was baptized. As a child she was loving and caring, and was one of the most loved throughout the family.
If one of her siblings became ill, she will not leave the bedside, asking "do you want something to eat?" do you want some tea? Do you want water?
At times, her mother will compel her to leave the room, and go out to play, but she would steal a chance and go back to the room.
In so much the older folks called her "nursery"
She had loved caring for her little nieces and nephews, along with other adopted children. They all called her auntie Vincent or "Mama Vincent". Because of her loving caring manner.
Her desire was always to be a nurse and to work in hospitals where she would be qualified to take care of the sick.
Then after completing her education, without her mother's knowledge, she started applying to hospitals for nurse training. But was repeatedly told she was too young. The time came when she was old enough, she applied to l London and was accepted, to start her career, as she then got her desire, she was very successful in many areas of nursing.

She went to Scotland, and was successful in midwifery training where she received the title as certified midwife and worked as a district midwife for 2 years, delivered babies at home, as was then the rule in Scotland.
She entered the US in 1969, she took a course in psychiatry, passed her exams and received certificate in psychiatric nursing.
She then continued her career in hospitals and NH as Nursing Supervisor.
As the years passed by, she met and married Purvis Gray who at that time was a Nonbda but with her encouragement, he attended a crusade and was baptized, and until his death, he would say to her " thank you for bringing me into the message, I've had many girl friends, some of whom were SDA's. But none ever told me what you are telling me, how i would have been lost at my age.
And after a period of illness when she was called to rest on.......
