Vivian Mirabal-Cusson, born on June 17, 1957 and added her glowing self to a world in need of light, and as is the road we all must follow, she passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Taking with her our hearts. Vivian was a resident of Orlando, Florida. Actually more than that. She was a school teacher. An educator. A mother of four children. Two baby boys, two baby girls. Someone whom examined everything and everyone. But most important to me is she loves God. Still does. She is my wife as well. My time with her was far too brief. She being from Puerto Rico and a native of Ponce, one of her all-time favorite sayings was "Ponce is Ponce and the rest is parking". Now, If you don’t know Vivians’ laugh, then you don’t know Vivian. That simple. A sound of joy to be heard. However her latter years was an absolute slow and merciless death march. Lasting years upon years. She so much struggled, really struggled at first. Then somewhat adjusted to it. Then was overtaken by it. With a big dose of silence in more ways than one. I am angry, bitter and most all hurt. She was the greatest person in my life and it was too too short. Yes, I am greedy that way. Some might say "you have a reward in heaven". There can only be one reward for me. To have "all" of those I love, loved, care about (or even knew) be in heaven with our God, our Saviour and Holy Spirit. And to be with Vivian. Vivian knew Jesus Christ and him crucified and what that means and the faith we have in His blood and by the faith "of" Christ that by the grace of God we are saved if you believe. Vivian did. Vivian was the most christian women I had ever known. She didn't try to "be like Christ" or do the things of the law. But rather gave with her heart as much as others were able to see or allow. She gave of herself. She demanded nothing in return. She taught me much. How about you? Were you able to hear her? I did.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL, 34734, United States. The service is scheduled for February 25, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm.
