I remember back in the day when we would all hang out in your room and play World of Warcraft and beg you and Lely to drive us places because we were too young to do so ourselves. I remember all of us sitting in the Pit and watching South Park because my mom wouldn’t let us at my house. I remember all of the times we spent annoying you and invading your space as kids and watching you and Sean do ridiculous things at both yours and I guess “not so little now” Jessie’s house. I wish you and your family well and you might be gone, but you’re definitely not forgotten.   Sending all of my love and care to the Chaffee’s today in regards to the anniversary of your passing. 

I knew William Chaffey for a period of time when we were both in recovery at central care mission in Orlando Florida he and I particularly were drawn to each other because of a kindred spirit that we shared,  and our very acute intelligence and our wildly eclectic imaginations. I am saddened very deeply to the core of my being as I too have lost a brother to addiction and today I learned that all my unanswered messages to William were because he was no longer with us I pray for his family his sisters and his daughter Skye I pray that they find comfort in knowing that their brother is in a better place and he's no longer suffering and I'll miss him and think of him often God bless.

I am Skye's Great Aunt. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting Matt. He sounds like an amazing person both intelligent and funny. I know we would have gotten along really well. May he rest in peace and I am glad that Skye has loving Grand Parents and Aunts to take great care of her. I hope to meet her someday.

Matt, You walked up to me in the lunchroom and said "Hey man let's go to the library I got something cool to show you." It was how to make websites, you showed me how to develop 2d games too. You literally got me into and helped teach what I use to support my family. Later on I found out you invited me because you heard I was going to get beat up again after lunch, you protected me. You disappeared for awhile, you said you were homeschooled, I didn't care I was happy to have my buddy back. When I broke some vertebrae in my back and slipped discs you kept in contact with me and you were the first person to come hang out with me. When I was able to walk and do things you encouraged me to walk from my house to yours, I remeber you saying "I know it sucks man, we'll stop if you need to but just keep doing it, you'll get better, its about getting better." You taught me perseverance and you believed in me. Believed I could get better. I remember us watching your mom get hooked on W.o.W because she could play with family. We laughed but it was cool cause you knew you got me hooked too. When you were heartbroken over Amy I remember helping to cheer you up; when I had my heart broken you were there to cheer me up. Took me to parties watched my back like the "guitar incident" but That's when you taught me about brotherhood. We would go to your grandparents house and do yardwork, when we were done we'd hang out on the dock and talk about life. You had these amazing thoughts, Ideas, Inventions, they were astonishing. To this day you are one of the smartest people I have ever met and the life of any party. I know we made alot of plans, one I wish would have went through was the military and I'm sorry for that. I do remember when you called me to tell me you were going to be a father, you weren't scared you were excited and I knew you'd be an amazing father, Matt you helped shape me into the person I am today in a profound way keep a cold one ready for me, love ya brother :-)

I met you in art class in high school. You were my best friend at the time, thinking back. We always stayed in trouble just cracking up laughing uncontrollably for no reason in that class. You let me braid your hair because I loved how it was so blonde and straight. I remember calling you Aaron Carter 😂 You were the first friend I made there. You always offered me your Billabong sweater because I was always cold. I still have the school pic I took in it.  You were a light in my darkest times. You saved me. I can’t thank you enough and I always will remember those times. Fly high Matty. You were too good for this Earth. I love you, Brother💜 

Matt Chaffee. Born in Germany. Guess how much of a bond I had with him. I spent time in Germany as a toddler because my father was in the military. Matt and I told each other were brothers because we were in Germany at the same...You were fighting a battle that has and will always claim many lives. I have nothing but beautiful memories of you. We played sports together. Your parents took us to practice every day. We danced together as early teens. We pulled out nighters playing video games.  We went from playing power rangers in the front yard to playing dragon ball Z. Your haircut was identical to Trunks... Me, you, your sisters, Jonathan, Ryan, Kevin, Candice, Jimmy, Jose, Kailin, Bryan, Shane and many others from Mascotte and Groveland - we had the best childhood we could ask for. We had money, and freedom. We dressed nice, and had a good time...But just like in sports- championship teams are bound to break up. Jonathan and I were looking for you because we wanted to get together and bring a beautiful business to our home town. We were too late and we’re sorry... This will be a painful and ever lasting lost to me, but I won’t take away the most important thing- you no longer have to fight ever day. You can rest and be happy. I owe you and your family the world... You guys did so much for me and not one day goes by that I don’t think about you.
