William Ramirez, 96, of Orlando, Florida passed away November 8, 2013. He was born on March 8, 1917 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to the late Juan and Maria Ramirez. William was a veteran of the United States Army. During his time of service to his country, William was awarded a European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, an American Service Medal, and 2 Purple Hearts. William had various careers following his time in the service, a majority of which was spent with the United States Postal Service. He was one of 21 children and will be missed deeply by his loving family and all those who knew him.
William was preceded in his passing by his wife, Flora and by 15 of his siblings.
He is survived by his daughters, Lee Ramirez of Orlando, FL and Vivian Valle of Atlanta, Georgia; 5 siblings; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, November 12 at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 13 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, followed by interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
