Selby, Major William R. of Winter Park passed away on July 23, 2011. He was born November 20, 1923 in Ft. Wayne, IN to George & Irma Selby. He served as a pilot in the USAF, retiring from McCoy AFB in 1963. He served in WWII and the Korean War. Bill then became an FAA Air Traffic Controller, retiring at Orlando Executive Airport in 1985. He obtained a B.S. from Florida Southern College. Bill was a 50 year Master Mason and a member of the Oviedo Lodge #243. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Deloris Selby, daughter Debra Wingo (Jim), granddaughter Angela Wingo Ouellette (Mark), great grandchildren Olivia, Katherine & Walker - all of Orlando & sister Virginia Berning of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Selby.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 26,2011 at 12:00 noon at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Memorial reception following at The Mayflower Duxbury Hall 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's honor to National Museum of the US Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio
