Yvonne Hall Thomas

Yvonne attended Marion County Public Schools and graduated from Howard Academy in 1954. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert M. Thomas, Sr. To this union four children were born, Robert Jr., Robin, Roderick (deceased) and Rhonda.

She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age in Ocala, Florida. After moving to Orlando, she joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church. She later moved her membership to Cater Tabernacle C.M.E. Church and served as an usher for many years.

Yvonne worked at Orlando Regional Medical until her retirement in 1999. Colleagues came to know her as "Tommie."

Yvonne enjoyed shopping, sitting on her front porch, talking to friends and sharing good times with her family!

On January 8, 2026, Yvonne was peacefully called home to be with the Lord.

Yvonne was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Roderick.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Robert M. Thomas, Jr., Ocala, FL; Robin D. Thomas, Newberry, FL; Rhonda (Gary) T. Stephens, Orlando, FL; Grands: Christopher Thomas, Racquel, Reina and Rheann Stephens: Great Grand: Jacyana London Rhys Martin; Sisters: Virginia and Linda Cook, Orlando, FL and Weinerfer Johnson, Miami, FL; Brother: Robert Cook, Jr. (Shawntay), Rancho Cuamonga, CA; Goddaughter: Chloe McMillan and a host of relatives and friends.
