COOK, Ada Beth Briggs – of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Fostrian Manor. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Beth was born August 17, 1919 in Flint, MI the daughter of the late Guy and Maud Briggs. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan and taught in the Flint Public Schools. She married Allen Cook on September 14, 1940 in Flint, MI. Mrs. Cook enjoyed reading, going out to dinner, socializing and looking after her family. Cherished mother of Peter Briggs (Joanne) Cook, George Allen Cook, Jr., and Chapin Warner (Gail) Cook. Dear grandmother of Daisy, Patrick, Elizabeth and Sylvia Pfeiffenberger, Brad (Kristen) Rhoades, and Leif Devine. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Caden and Liam Rhoades, brother, Rodney Davis (Rosie) Briggs, brother-in-law, Gardner Chapin Cook, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, on June 17, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to the Macular Degeneration Foundation.
