NEMITZ, Albert Douglas (Skip) – of Grand Blanc, age 79, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Burial follows at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 10 am to 12:30 pm Thursday. Mr. Nemitz was born in Flint, Michigan on March 20, 1939, to Albert W. and Virginia (Nash) Nemitz. He married Sandra Dimond on July 20, 1956. Mr. Nemitz worked as an electrician at Chevrolet. After retirement he and his wife wintered in Nokomis, Florida, where he enjoyed bluegrass, friends and various music. Surviving are: wife, Sandra (Dimond) Nemitz; 5 children, David (Debbie) Nemitz of Forest, VA, Daniel (Chrissy) Nemitz of Burton, MI, Catherine (Matthew) Smith of Grand Rapids, Mark Nemitz of Charlotte, NC, and Paul (Janice) Nemitz of Sanford, MI; 15 grandchildren, Lydia, Luke and Naomi (Virginia), Samantha, Cassandra, Autumn and Melody (Michigan), Matthew, Jr., Sarah and Brook (Michigan), Amanda, Bradley and Clay (N. Carolina), and Grant and Kade (Michigan); 8 great-grandchildren, Gage, Jace, Michael and Natalie, Ashtyn and Maximus, Liam, and Christian; 2 brothers, Ken (Lyn) Nemitz and Dave (Jane) Nemitz. Mr. Nemitz was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Ann Marie Smith, Eva Lou Haynes and Beverly Shearer; and by his daughter-in-law, Dianne Nemitz.
