Alice Jean Anderson

July 4, 1945June 4, 2020

Alice "Jeannie" Anderson, age 74, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Thursday June 4, 2020. She was born July 4, 1945 to parents Utah and Lillian (Price) Standridge. Jeannie loved to fish, cook, bird watch, garden, play bingo and sit on her patio socializing with friends and neighbors. She was a very strong-willed woman who loved music and dancing. She took great pride in helping raise her oldest granddaughter, Ashley ("her angel face"), and in teaching her everything she knew, including how to be a strong, independent woman. Jeannie will be missed by so many. No one could light up a room or cook quite like her!

Left to cherish her memory are daughter: Tami Bird; son: Carl (Marcy) Anderson; granddaughters: Ashley (Daniel) Krick, Emily Bird; grandsons: David and Dylan Anderson; brother: Ronnie (Ginger) Standridge; and many nieces, nephews and adopted children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Sonny and Tommy Standridge; and many friends.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillfh.com for the Anderson family.

Aunt Jeannie was a thoughtful and extremely kind and forgiving person. When I was pregnant for our first child we had absolutely no money. Aunt Jeannie was able to get us a ton of necessary baby items that we later also used for our next child. I always remember her loving my sister and listening with passion to every thing Debbie shared with her. Debbie loved her very very much as did my mother. What a loss for Carl and Tammi and Ashley and Emily. Our thoughts are with them.

I remember as a young boy, my Aunt Jean’s happiness, humor and overall positivity, not to mention her cooking and how I looked forward to going to her house. I loved to fish and she loved it too. I miss her and those times, and I am sad today, the thought of her brings those happy days back. I send my prayers to Tammi and Carl and their families who I shared those memories with.
