Alta was born on June 23, 1936, to the late Wilford and Virginia (Moreau) Jensen in Millington, Michigan. She was a devout Christian, who devoted herself to her faith and family. Everything that Alta did was always done wholeheartedly and with such passion. Alta was always involved in various activities, both in her church and with her family. She was a volunteer at Hospice for over a decade. She was known as a wonderful wife and mother, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Alta will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege to know her.
Alta leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of sixty-eight years, C. Ray Carey; daughters Sally Jo (Joe) Regimbal and Janice (Todd) Johnson; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings Barb, Carol and Dale, and their respective spouses.
Alta was preceded in death by many loving family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Christian Fellowship, American Diabetes Association-Michigan Chapter or Right to Life-Fenton in Alta's honor.
A funeral service for Alta will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan with visitation one hour prior. Alta will be laid to rest at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
