Andrew was born on March 5, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan to Andrew Sr. and Pauline (Lagas) Papuga. Andrew was a wonderful man, who loved to barbecue and was also a big fan of the World Wrestling Foundation. He, along with his siblings, enjoyed performing lip synching and stand up comedy together. Andrew loved 80’s music, especially singer John Waite. Most recently, he made YouTube videos which he thoroughly enjoyed.
For several seasons, Andrew was a basketball coach for Holly Academy, and served that role with great pride. Everywhere he went, whether he was in Holly or Fenton, he was quite well-known. Andrew always had a positive attitude, a caring heart, and he truly loved his family. In his earlier years, he helped to raise funds for those children who battled with muscular dystrophy. Throughout his life, Andrew was an advocate for those with disabilities and he sought to ensure they were treated fairly. Andrew was a loving father, son, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Andrew leaves behind to cherish his memory, the mother of his children Barbara Rice; his daughters Jennifer (Joshua) Grady and Jessica Papuga (Gregory); grandchildren Liam and Iris Marion, and Lydia Grady; mother Pauline Kenner; siblings James (Kathryn) Hamner, Fred Kenner, Marybeth Hamner, Ann Papuga, Kevin (Barbara) Papuga, Allen (Salina) Kenner, Yvonne (Tom) Bair, and Jaime (Jason) Fenner; 21 nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Andrew is preceded in death by his father Andrew Papuga Sr., stepfather Harrison Kenner, and sister Sherry Fritchman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Andrew's children and grandchildren.
