Ardath Ruth Nichols

NICHOLS, ARDATH age 96, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at her home in Abby Park. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Interment at Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Ardath was born August 6, 1915 in Atlas Township, MI to parents Millard and Agnes (Tait) Upper. She was an active member of the Atlas Baptist Church and later a member of the Halsey United Methodist Church. Surviving are children Carter (Sue) Nichols, John Nichols, Ann (John) Meranda; grandchildren Gary (Judy), Gidget (Marty), Anne (Jason), Amy (Terry), Penny, Carrie (Mickey), Hallie (Tom); many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Chester Nichols; brother Harold Upper; daughter-in-law Margaret Nichols and her parents. The entire family wish to express deepest appreciation to Sandy, Luann and Renee for their loving care. Contributions may be made to the Halsey Methodist Church.
