

DZIDO, BERNARD “Brute” of Flint and Durand, Michigan, age 63, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide Street, Fenton, Michigan. Fr David W. Harvey officiating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Monday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd. Grand Blanc, MI. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. till the time of Mass at the Church. Those desiring may make contributions to Powers Catholic High School Relocation Fund or charity of your choice. Brute was born in Flint, Michigan on October 12, 1947, the son of Bernard A. and Dorothy (Niec) Dzido. He grew up in Flint and graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of 4 Seasons Asphalt and 4 Seasons Maintenance, Inc.
Brute is survived by Brother and Sister-In-Law, Guy and Terri Dzido of Fenton; Nephews, Benjamin Dzido and Jonathan Dzido; Daughter, Sheri Durga of Flint; Grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Amber and Andrew and great-granddaughter, Addyson; and special cousin, Mike Nord. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Genesys Health Park for their care during his many visits and also to his caregiver and friend, Anna.
