DEAN, BERTHA EMOGENE, age 89, of Burton, MI, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2017. She was born July 22, 1927, the first of 12 children to Bill and Fanny (Harrison) Browning of Wharncliffe, West Virginia. She married Frank Dean in August, 1952 and moved to Flint, Michigan in 1953. Emogene was a member of Great Lakes Baptist Temple. She was retired from Bendle Public Schools since 1989. She was an excellent cook and loved flowers and gardening. She issurvived by her son Marvin (Sheryl) Dean, Jeff (Gwen) Dean, and daughter Sheila Hite. 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son Bill; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday July 1, 2017 at Hill Funeral Home 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday, June 30, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Pastor David Chittenden officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
