Bob Kuch

KUCH, Robert A. “Bob” – age 69 passed away surrounded by his family on August 16, 2016. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11 AM with one hour of visitation prior at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM at Hill Funeral Home.

Bob’s main passion in life had always been his family and is survived by wife Jean Kuch; children: Jeff Kuch, Katy Rowell (Mike) and Alex Kuch (Brynne); grand children: Emily Rowell, Andrew Rowell and Reef Kuch; and sister/aunt Barb Taylor. Bob was a life long Grand Blanc resident and graduate of Grand Blanc High School, class of 1964. While at GBHS, Bob was a stand out starting center and captain of the Bobcats’ Varsity Basketball team. Following high school, Bob attended Western Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Shortly after college Bob returned to Genesee County where he started a 30+ year career in wholesale beer and wine sales/distribution. Bob helped his father, Alex, successfully run Century Beverage for many years. Following Century Beverage, Bob finished his distinguished career with Tom Ryan Distributing as a Sales manager. Bob’s passion for basketball and sports remained vibrant throughout his life. He was a devoted Detroit sports fan and collegiately his allegiance was with the Western Michigan Broncos, Central Michigan Chippewas and the University of Arizona Wildcats.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Michigan Chapter or National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in memory of Bob. Arrangements under the direction of Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, MI.
