Brenda Goldman, known affectionately as Bubba, passed away during the morning of Thursday, August 6, 2020 in West Bloomfield, MI. She was a loving mother to Ilise Goldman and her late son, Scott, as well as an exceptional grandmother to her grandchildren, Ben and Rachel Burroughs. Bubba was a tenacious card player, but her true calling was her love of helping others. Whether it was teaching Sunday school as a lifelong member of Temple Beth El; washing soccer uniforms for her son, providing music lessons to her daughter’s class, sewing costumes for her grandson’s performance or picking up her granddaughter when she didn’t feel well, that’s what Bubba did. She was passionate about serving all those in her community – not just her family. She relished Bubba Wednesdays at Randels Elementary School, where she could be a grandmother to students who needed a hug, to owning Window Magic, and providing window coverings to anyone and everyone. Bubba’s love knew no bounds, including her furry great-grandchildren. Brenda was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 12, 1942, the daughter of Ethel and William Kliger. She is survived by her daughter, Ilise Goldman; grandchildren: Benjamin (Eva Andrews) and Rachel Burroughs; sister, Randi (David) Zussman; numerous nieces and nephews as well as so many others Bubba chose to love. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott and her older sister, Lubena. The family will be holding a private service, and Shivah will be observed utilizing Zoom. Those desiring may make contributions to the Scott Goldman Fund, c/o Temple Beth El, Flint, Michigan.
